Fastpitch softball has a way of its own when it comes to the language you hear between players, coaches, and parents, but if you're a newcomer to the sport, you might be left a little in the dust.

How bout some context? We're here to take a second look at the slang tossed around in fastpitch that folks outside fastpitch have no clue about. **You might think twice about the words you take for granted in this game the next time you casually mention "good girls steal."**

We hope you enjoyed reading these phrases as much as we had fun talking about them for this post. As the fastpitch culture evolves, so will the language and culture of the game continue to grow. SHARE with a coach you know who speaks the language of the game better than the rest.

Now, you might be thinking of a few other sayings we failed to include; so, if you've got more, *feel free to comment below* and we'll include them in the next batch of softball jargon goodness.
