Houston Astro fans remember Carlos Correa fielding a grounder, glove flipping it to second where Jose Altuve barehanded the ball and fired to first, completing a double play in the World Series. We were impressed.

With a fielding percentage of .975, his range marvelled the World Series audience, including our team at FungoMan. Check out our new drill focusing on growing range and ball recognition 👇

Not bad boys, not bad.

So how do we work our way to maximizing and growing our range as middle infielders? Taylor Love demonstrates this challenging drill focusing on quick readiness, ball recognition, and speedy reaction time.

  1. Start by facing away from the FM-250.
  2. Upon hearing the horn, make the quick turn to read the ball.
  3. Make your first step count towards setting yourself up for success.
